PASTRY SEMINAR

On Wednesday, October 29 Merchants Market St. Thomas, in conjunction with Paris Gourmet, conducted a two hour pastry seminar. 

A copy of the invitation is above.  We sent 57 invitations to a targeted audience.  Forty-three (43) chefs and business owners attended. 

Chef Laurier provided a recipe booklet with photographs of the desserts he demonstrated (attached). 

We provided to all participants an order guide of the products Paris Gourmet demonstrated as well as items we had in stock.        

 In the savory line Jean Paul showed olive oils, nut oils, vinegars, olives, spices.  We augmented with the savory products we already stock, i.e. dry mushrooms, etc. 

A questionnaire was included posing questions about the value of the seminar .  Twenty of the chefs responded.  One of the questions was “Did you find this pastry seminar beneficial?”  Here are some of the responses:  Daniel Nutley, Sous Chef, Frenchman’s Reef “Great demo!  Interesting seminar”; Randy Driscoll, Randy’s Bistro “Great, Thank you!
